China Merchants International Travel Service・Cancellation & Reschedule Policy (Effective Date:2026)

Ⅰ Summary

This policy applies to our regular group tours, private tours, day trips, local experiences and related travel services. Special themed routes, venue tickets, transportation vouchers, audio guides and lectures are non-refundable and non-transferable once purchased.

Cancellation made 30 days or more prior to departure: 100% refund or 100% future travel credit after deduction of non-refundable tickets, reservation fees and applicable service fees.Cancellation made between 29 days and 7 days prior to departure: 50% refund or 50% future travel credit after deduction of relevant fees.Cancellation made within 7 days prior to departure: All sales are final and no refund will be issued.

Venue tickets, third-party vouchers and fixed reservation fees are non-refundable, non-transferable and only valid when used together with our travel services.Any reschedule request requires repurchasing tickets and bearing corresponding fees. Last-minute changes are not guaranteed to be accepted.

If your cancellation or reschedule is caused by circumstances beyond your control, please send supporting documents to our official email for review. All audio guides and lectures are final sales with no refund.

Abandonment of Tourists During the TripIf the Company abandons tourists during the trip, it shall cover tourists’ accommodation, meals and other necessary expenses incurred during the abandonment period, refund the fees for uncompleted travel arrangements, and pay liquidated damages equivalent to the full amount of the travel cost.

Voluntary Departure Mid-TourIf a tourist leaves the tour group on their own without the Company’s consent and fails to rejoin during the trip, it shall be deemed a unilateral termination of the contract. The tourist shall not be entitled to any refund of travel fees. The tourist shall also be liable for compensation for any losses caused to the Company.

3. Cancellations & Changes Initiated by Travelers

3.1 General Rules

All third-party tickets, venue reservation fees and transportation vouchers are non-refundable, and relevant payment processing fees will be deducted. Approved refunds will be returned via the original payment method within a maximum of 60 calendar days.

All tourism services will operate as scheduled regardless of weather, and the itinerary will be reasonably adjusted according to weather conditions. Group tour guests who are 30 minutes late or more, and private tour guests who are 1 hour late or more, will have their orders automatically canceled without a refund; failure to arrive on time (No-show) will be treated as a last-minute cancellation, with no refund.

3.2 Cancellation for Regular & Private Tours

Cancellation 30 days or more prior to departure: 100% refund or equivalent travel credit after deducting non-refundable tickets, reservation and service fees.Cancellation between 29 days and 7 days prior to departure: 50% refund or 50% travel credit after deducting relevant fees. The remaining amount covers costs incurred by the Company for tour arrangement.Cancellation within 7 days prior to departure: All sales are final with no refund available.

3.4 Unforeseeable Circumstances

If cancellation is caused by unforeseeable circumstances beyond personal control (official travel advisories, border closure, flight cancellation, cruise ship docking failure, etc., valid supporting documents required) and requested more than 7 days prior to departure, free reschedule service or full travel credit (minus non-refundable fees) will be provided. No refund for requests made within 7 days before departure.

3.5 Reschedule & Itinerary Changes

Reschedule requests made 30 days or more prior to departure: No amendment fee, travelers shall only bear newly incurred ticket, reservation and service fees.Simple date/time changes requested between 29 days and 7 days prior to departure: Subject to guide and ticket availability (success not guaranteed). A $50 amendment fee per booking will be charged.Substantial itinerary changes requested between 29 days and 7 days prior to departure: Regarded as a cancellation. A penalty equal to 50% of the original order amount will be charged to cover sunk costs.Any changes requested within 7 days prior to departure: Not acceptable. To rearrange travel, you need to place a new booking, and the original order will not be refunded.

3.6 Abandonment & Voluntary Mid-Tour Departure

1. In the event that the Company abandons tourists during the trip, the Company shall pay for tourists’ accommodation, catering and other necessary expenses arising from the abandonment, refund the fees for the uncompleted part of the itinerary, and pay liquidated damages equal to the total travel cost.

2. If a tourist voluntarily leaves the group and refuses to rejoin without the Company’s approval during the trip, it shall be regarded as a unilateral termination of the contract. The tourist has no right to claim a refund of travel fees, and shall compensate the Company for any resulting losses.
